Staying Connected to Georgetown

Emergencies

In an emergency, your first point of contact should be International SOS. Their contact information is available on the downloadable subscriber card. If you register your travel itinerary with SOS before departure, they will be able to easily determine your location and notify emergency contacts of your situation.

Calendars

UIS has information available on accessing your Google Apps, including your calendar, on your mobile device.

E-mail

To find out how to set up e-mail forwarding or a vacation message, consult UIS’s Gmail page.

Library databases

To find out how to access library databases while off-campus, consult the University Library website. Please note that the “Journal Finder” function requires one to log-in by clicking the “Off-campus access” link in order to view articles.

Alumni

If you are interested in connecting with other Hoyas while abroad, a list of international alumni clubs is available.

The Georgetown Travel Society offers international travel opportunities for Georgetown alumni.

Georgetown’s Hoya Gateway site offers alumni the opportunity to connect with and provide career advice to current Georgetown students.
